Army Approaches Lifting Siege of Al-Dalang and Sweeps Bara Vicinity

Amid ongoing clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), particularly in Kordofan, a Sudanese military source confirmed that the army is nearing the lifting of the siege on Al-Dalang city in South Kordofan State.

Local sources told Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath on Tuesday that an RSF force attacked several villages and towns in the Souq Um Barkat area of Um Dam Haj Ahmed locality in North Kordofan State. The attacking force reportedly looted citizens’ property and opened fire on them.

The military source also noted that army units, supported by joint backing forces, carried out sweeping operations in several areas surrounding Bara city, as well as the Um Sout and Dankoj areas in North Kordofan State.
