Sudanese State Orders Mobilization, Calls on Citizens to Defend Border with Ethiopia

Wali of Al-Gadarif, Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, has instructed the preparation of camps across the state’s localities to receive mobilized personnel and rally fighters, aiming to strengthen the protection of the border with Ethiopia.
During his meeting with local leaders and figures in the Basunda area, the Wali emphasized that the current phase requires the highest levels of mobilization and support for the Armed Forces. He praised the role of citizens along the border strip, describing them as a true force of defense and support for the army in its mission to safeguard the frontier.
This directive comes amid security challenges facing the eastern region, as the state government seeks to enhance field readiness and expand popular participation in supporting the Armed Forces, ensuring the protection of national sovereignty and the stabilization of border areas.
