RSF Militia Uses “Canadian Armored Vehicles” in El-Fashir and Babanusa
Technical investigations by the Sudanese Military Capabilities Platform revealed the truth behind the appearance of Spanish and Ukrainian armored vehicles used by the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in El-Fashir, North Darfur, and in Babanusa, South Kordofan.
According to the platform, writing on its official Facebook page, the use of advanced analytical tools and the review of design categories for the South Korean Legwan, the Spanish URO VAMTAC, and the Ukrainian KOZAK armored vehicles showed no match with those models, which had initially been suspected after appearing in El-Fashir and Babanusa.
The platform clarified that the armored vehicles used by the RSF militia belong to a new category of the Canadian-origin SPARTAN SUT, describing them as the “younger” or “newer” version of the previously seen SPARTAN 2 MAV.
Attached images highlighted the major design differences between the Spanish-made URO VAMTAC and the Canadian-origin SPARTAN SUT.
