Army air defenses down militia drones attacking Kadugli

Kadugli – Sudanese Echoes

Suicide and strategic drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted sites inside Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan State, during the past few hours, according to local sources who spoke to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath on Sunday.

The sources said that army units from the 14th Infantry Division and security services had been on alert for such attacks, following a series of drone strikes carried out by the RSF on several areas in South Kordofan over the past two days.

A military official told Al Arabiya/Al Hadath that the drones failed to hit their intended targets in Kadugli after being intercepted by army air defense systems.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses in Dilling, also in South Kordofan, reported that a child was killed and four others were injured when an artillery shell fired by the RSF hit a charitable kitchen in the city.
