By Order of Dagalo… Senior RSF Officers Arrested

Consistent military sources from Nyala, South Darfur State, revealed that senior officers of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) were arrested by the military police ten days ago.

Three informed RSF sources told Darfur24 that the military police detained six officers on various charges during September and October, holding them first at the Nyala Stock Exchange building before transferring them to Dagriss Prison west of the city.

According to the sources, the arrests of both RSF officers and captured army personnel are directly supervised by the RSF’s deputy commander, Abdel-Rahim Dagalo.

The sources added that three of the detained officers were accused of misappropriating funds belonging to the Nyala Stock Exchange and diverting military supplies, including combat vehicles, which were intercepted in the Adeknuk area on their way to Chad.

Meanwhile, the other three officers were accused of collaborating with the Sudanese army and sharing sensitive locations within the city after messages of communication with “hostile entities,” as described, were found on their phones.

The sources said the three officers had previously served in the Sudanese army before joining the RSF following the fall of the 16th Infantry Division’s headquarters in Nyala in October 2023.

Dozens of RSF members, including officers, are currently imprisoned in Nyala on various charges.
