Arming Convicted Prisoners to Attack El-Fashir… Army Carries Out Special Operations
The Sudanese Army has conducted special operations in El-Fashir against the terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, successfully clearing several forward defensive positions that had been occupied by the enemy.
According to Staff Sergeant Asia Al-Khalifa, the war correspondent for the 6th Infantry Division, the army inflicted heavy losses on the militia in both personnel and equipment, seizing several combat vehicles fully equipped, while destroying six others, including armored vehicles.
Al-Khalifa revealed that the militia launched a late-night attack on Monday but suffered yet another crushing defeat.
She pointed out that after losing many of its fighters, the militia resorted to arming prisoners who had been held in its own detention facilities on murder charges, sending them to fight in El-Fashir — where most of them were killed, and the few survivors fled the battlefield.
The correspondent confirmed that the army crowned Monday’s victories with precision strikes that achieved significant objectives within enemy strongholds, affirming that the armed forces maintain full control of the situation and hold the initiative with high morale.
