Sudanese Intelligence Director: Militia Released Terrorists

Director of Sudanese General Intelligence, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, called during his participation in the Baku Security Forum held in the Azerbaijani capital for urgent international support to confront what he described as the “cross-border threat” posed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He warned that the militia has been recruiting mercenaries from the region and around the world with external financial and military support, which has exacerbated the suffering of the Sudanese people and threatened their security and stability.

In his speech before the forum, Mufaddal revealed that the mercenaries committed serious crimes, including storming police stations and prisons, releasing dangerous prisoners specialized in terrorism, and smuggling weapons and drugs.

Mufaddal emphasized that these threats extend beyond Sudan, pointing to the danger of spreading terrorism and organized crime internationally. He called on the international community to support Sudan, reject any support for the militia, and officially classify it as a terrorist organization within regional and international organizations.
