Alligator terrorizes residents of an area in Sudan, threatens children lives

The appearance of a dangerous crocodile of the “alligator” species in the Al-Gaizan area of Al-Ubaidiya, River Nile State, has sparked anxiety and fear among local residents, particularly with the increasing daily movement on the banks of the Nile and the crowding of the “Al-Daraa” sub-beach with dozens of children who come to swim and bathe, as a result of water cuts to homes due to power outages.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the crocodile first appeared two days ago and that it roams freely along the Al-Gaizan beach, amidst real fears that citizens or children could be subjected to a sudden attack.

Residents explained that large crowds of people on the riverbanks, especially children, increase the likelihood of tragic accidents if prompt intervention is not taken.
