Sudan’s Prime Minister Sends Message in Spanish to Colombian People Urging Them to Halt Sending Mercenaries to Darfur
Prime Minister Kamil Idriss has sent a message to the Colombian people and all Spanish-speaking communities, calling for an end to the recruitment and deployment of mercenaries to Sudan.
The message read: “In the spirit of creativity, solidarity, and commitment to peace, this call comes to stand firmly with us to end the siege of El-Fashir and cease the recruitment and deployment of mercenaries to our territories.”
In this context, Kamil Idriss commended the call made by the Colombian Prime Minister to end the recruitment of Colombian mercenaries in Darfur.
The Prime Minister underscored that the Spanish-speaking world has made significant contributions to humanity, from the art of Pablo Picasso to the poetry of Pablo Neruda, the narratives of Gabriel García Márquez, and the literature of Mario Vargas Llosa.
