Interview: Diaa El-Din El-Tayib
Dr. Amani Al-Tawil, an expert at Al-Ahram Center for Strategic Studies, accused the Sudanese elites, since independence of failing to manage diversity in Sudan, saying that the recent war in Sudan is a manifestation of a protracted crisis in Sudan.
Al-Tawil said, during an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) published in the inner pages and on Al-Minassa Channel, that receiving the Sudanese after the war in Egypt is linked to the emotional awareness between the two peoples. She asserted that Egypt has known the importance of Sudan and how to preserve these interests since ancient times.
In the same context, Al-Tawil confirmed that Egypt’s foreign policy does not support secession in countries.
This position is not linked to political regimes but to deep-rooted beliefs, emphasizing that Egypt respects the choices of the Sudanese people.
