“We Will Not Negotiate with the Killers” – Sudan’s Firm Message after El-Fashir Atrocities

The Sudanese government, through its embassy in Doha, announced that it has effectively ruled out any possibility of returning to the negotiation table with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, stating that trust in this “militia is impossible” in light of the atrocities it has committed, particularly in the city of El-Fashir in the Darfur region.

Khartoum asserted that what happened in El-Fashir was not an isolated incident, but part of “a systematic pattern of crimes and violations” for which it holds the RSF responsible.

The government affirmed its determination to pursue the militia both militarily and politically, calling on the international community to designate it as a terrorist organization and to hold its leaders and members accountable under international law.

During a press conference in Doha, Sudan’s Ambassador Badr-Eddin Abdullah Mohammed Ahmed gave a detailed briefing on the latest developments in the war in Sudan, highlighting the tragedy of El-Fashir, which he said “reveals the violent and systematic nature of this militia’s behavior” across various parts of the country.

The ambassador affirmed that the Sudanese government “will not relent in pursuing the militia’s members,” stressing that the Sudanese army possesses the military capability as well as the legal and moral readiness to confront those he described as “the spearhead and claw” of the conspiracies targeting Sudan since April 2023—conspiracies that have produced one of the worst humanitarian crises documented by international organizations.
