Warplanes bomb gold mines (Jebel Aamir)
Warplanes launched attacks on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia gatherings in the gold mines in Jebel Aamir.
A medical source at Kabkabiya Hospital told (Darfur 24) that a number of dead and wounded arrived in the city on Saturday evening following a warplane airstrike on the Jebel Aamir mine located north of Al-Sereif town.
The medical source revealed that seven people were killed and four others were wounded and were transferred to the hospital and health centers in the city to receive treatment.
In turn, one of the civil leaders in Kabkabiya said that the Sudanese army’s warplanes launched six airstrikes on one of the gatherings on the outskirts of Jebel Aamir, which resulted in the killing and wounding of a number of RSF soldiers and some civilians. He pointed out that the air force has continued to launch airstrikes on Jebel Aamir over the past months, which has caused the mine to go out of service due to the fear of miners from the airstrikes.
