US Secretary of State: Stopping the War in Sudan is Washington’s Next Priority

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has affirmed that Sudan would be the State Department’s next priority to stop the war and achieve peace, following the success of the US- and Qatari-sponsored Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo agreements.

According to the US State Department website, Rubio explained that his Senior Advisor for African Affairs, Massad Boulos, would begin working on Sudan, describing the issue as “very important.” This came during the signing ceremony in the Colin Powell Hall in Washington.
