UAE Plot to Assassinate State and Military Leaderships

Report: Sudanese Echoes

Sudanese Echoes has obtained new information regarding a new plot by the evil statelet, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to carry out airstrikes and drone raids to assassinate a leading military figure in Sudan.

Middle Eastern intelligence sources, consistent with accurate information contained in diplomatic reports in the Horn of Africa and some East African countries, have disclosed, according to media reports, an intention to launch drone raids or airstrikes against certain sites inside Sudan, particularly in Port Sudan, targeting the Sudanese state leadership (the Sovereignty Council and military leaderships). The plans are being launched from bases in the Gulf of Aden, some islands in the Red Sea, areas in Somaliland, eastern Libya, and Chad, in coordination with the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Sources reported that the government’s rejection of the UAE’s conditions for negotiations, as well as the Sudanese air force’s killing of a number of UAE military and intelligence officers in Nyala, were the reason the UAE planned to carry out these strikes. These strikes were originally supposed to coincide with the Iran-Israel war. However, the end of the war postponed the strike, which Israel will be held responsible for, claiming it targeted the leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) based in Sudan.

The sources explained that the militia’s media outlets, in cooperation with its political arm (Sumoud and Ta’sis), began preparing for this strike, alleging the presence of IRGC leaders in Sudan through several websites affiliated with the militia.

The sources said that a massive media campaign would be launched, coinciding with the postponed strike, indicating that Israel is the one who launched the military strikes against Sudanese areas with the aim of targeting an Iranian presence on Sudanese soil and Sudanese leaderships collaborating with Tehran, within the framework of the recent Iran-Israel war.

Information confirmed that the Sudanese authorities and their security services are closely monitoring these movements and their threads in several capitals and regional destinations. Necessary internal measures are being taken, and elements within the country that may be used to provide information and coordinates of targeted sites, army headquarters, and the locations of leaderships to be liquidated and assassinated are being tracked and pursued.

Media outlets, websites, and social media platforms have previously published reports containing similar information in recent days following the cessation of the war between Iran and Israel. Video and audio clips and written comments prepared by elements and figures within the RSF militia, political organizations allied with the UAE, and rebels in Sudan have also been published and broadcast, calling on Israel to launch airstrikes on Sudan.
A security source in an Arab country tracing the Sudanese crisis said, “What is being circulated in this regard may be an agreed-upon plan between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, accompanied by public calls from Sudanese political opposition parties for international intervention in Sudan under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.”
