U.S. Investigation Reveals “Hemedti” and His Brothers’ Secret Real Estate Holdings in the UAE

An investigation conducted by the organization The Sentry has revealed that a network of individuals from a single family, sanctioned persons, and entities linked to the leadership of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) owns a real estate portfolio in Dubai estimated at around $24 million.

The portfolio includes RSF commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as “Hemedti,” along with his brothers Abdul-Rahim and Al-Qoni Dagalo, all of whom are subject to international sanctions.

Leaked property records reviewed during the investigation indicate that the portfolio consists of more than 20 properties, many of which are located within a single residential complex, in addition to other rented properties.

The findings raise new questions about the role of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which has repeatedly denied supporting the paramilitary group, despite growing allegations linking it to the RSF.

The report suggests that, in addition to alleged military support, the UAE may provide a secure environment for assets and family members associated with the RSF leadership.
To establish the connection between the property owners and the Dagalo family, The Sentry examined multiple data sources, including phone records and passport information.

Individuals identified as relatives did not deny family ties when contacted. However, the report stresses that property ownership alone does not necessarily imply wrongdoing.

This is the fourth investigation in a series examining links between the RSF militia, the Dagalo family, and networks operating in the UAE. Previous reports documented the use of Dubai-based shell companies, the involvement of an Emirati businessman linked to the recruitment of foreign fighters, and the role of “Prodigious,” a UAE-registered property management and oversight company, in managing assets associated with the RSF leadership.

Other investigations by independent organizations and international media outlets have also asserted that the RSF has received weapons and drones, and has been involved in gold smuggling from Sudan. The reports further suggest the involvement of prominent figures within the UAE leadership.
