Turkey unveils details of deal to end dispute between Sudan and UAE

The Turkish newspaper “Yeni Şafak” has revealed that Ankara submitted a proposal to Abu Dhabi to persuade it to halt its support for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in exchange for Sudan withdrawing its complaint against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Security Council.
According to an article in the newspaper today, on “Turkey’s strategic role in ending the war in Sudan.” The Turkish capital, Ankara, hosted talks between the Turkish Foreign Minister and the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented an initiative to mediate to end the disputes between Sudan and the UAE during a phone call Erdogan made with President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan.
Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef said that Erdogan’s initiative would have a “positive impact” on Sudan.
