Tigray Forces Attack RSF Positions Inside Ethiopia

Field sources said the Tigray Defense Forces (TDF) launched a surprise military offensive against RSF positions and troop concentrations inside Ethiopian territory.

The sources said the operation resulted in the capture of the targeted positions and the seizure of shipments of first-person view (FPV) suicide drones that were in the possession of RSF fighters. The drones are among the attack systems that have seen increasing use in recent military operations.

The developments have raised questions about the nature and extent of the RSF’s presence in border and regional areas outside Sudan, as well as the operational and logistical networks through which the militia conducts its activities.
