Ten women die in childbirth due to Bashayer Hospital shutdown

The emergency chamber in South Khartoum revealed that ten women died in childbirth due to the shutdown of Bashayer Hospital in South Khartoum.
The area, which includes the neighborhoods of Al-Ingaz, Al-Azhari, Al-Salama, and Mayo, is under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Ahmed Farouk, spokesperson for the South Khartoum Emergency Chamber, told Sudan Tribune that the health conditions in the area are catastrophic after Bashayer Hospital shut down, leading to the deaths of ten women in childbirth due to the lack of medical services. Doctors Without Borders decided to withdraw from Bashayer Hospital, the only operating hospital in South Khartoum, after the RSF increased attacks on doctors and patients and their repeated storming of the hospital.
