“Supported the Gulf War” … Sudanese Army Moves to Curb Disorder, Launches Legal Action Against Impostors

Sudan’s General Command of the Armed Forces has firmly dismissed circulating rumors, categorically denying any affiliation with a group that appeared in videos wearing military uniforms and chanting in support of war in the Gulf region.

In a press statement issued Wednesday, the Office of the Official Spokesperson for the Armed Forces confirmed that the group does not belong to the military establishment, describing the incident as “impersonation” warranting accountability.

The statement stressed that the competent authorities have already initiated legal procedures and judicial pursuit against the individuals involved. It further affirmed that the Armed Forces remain committed to their professional duties and do not permit the exploitation of their slogans or official uniform to promote political or regional positions outside the framework of the state.
