Sudan’s Prime Minister Denies Leaks and Speculations About his New Government
The office of Prime Minister Kamil Idris has denied media reports of leaks and information regarding the new ministers in the upcoming government.
News websites had circulated leaks and information about the new government, discussing regional quotas and disagreements with the Justice and Equality Movement over its share of the Juba Peace Agreement.
The leaks also included speculation about the rising fortunes of the well-known Coptic mobilizer, Girgis, in the new ministry, in addition to a leader of the Angry Ones Group.
The office stated, in a press release received by (Sudanese Echoes), that news websites had circulated inaccurate information regarding alleged nominations for portfolios and plans by Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris regarding the formation of the new government.
The office emphasized that what was published was nothing more than baseless speculation and does not reflect reality in any way.
The Prime Minister’s Office declared its commitment to transparency and responsible communication. It called on the media to verify accuracy and rely on official sources before publishing news.
