Sudan’s Northern State Mobilization Committee Condemns Militia Attacks on Vital Infrastructure, Declares Maximum Readiness

DONGOLA – The Supreme High Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance in the Northern State issued a stern statement on Tuesday, condemning what it described as brutal and deliberate attacks by the rebel militia targeting strategic facilities and civilian infrastructure across multiple regions.

According to the committee’s statement released in November 2026, the recent targeting of power and fuel stations constitutes a “full-fledged war crime.” The committee emphasized that these installations are explicitly protected under International Humanitarian Law, accusing the rebel forces of desperate attempts to disrupt essential public services, destroy vital infrastructure, and terrorize unarmed civilians.

“Attempts to compromise basic services and undermine the nation’s resolve will only render us more resilient, cohesive, and united,” the statement read, adding that such systematic treachery will reinforce the firm resolve of the Sudanese people to uphold their territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

The Popular Resistance reaffirmed its position as a solid pillar and a formidable shield for the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and other regular security agencies. In response to the escalating threats, the committee announced a maximum state of readiness across all localities in the Northern State to secure and protect public service facilities, while maintaining comprehensive mobilization for the “Battle of National Dignity.”

Concluding the statement, the committee renewed its pledge to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Sudanese Army until the homeland is fully liberated. It affirmed that the Northern State will remain an impenetrable bulwark protecting public services, while offering prayers for the recovery of the wounded, the safe return of the missing, and the martyrs of the armed forces.
