Sudan’s Health Minister Suffered a Fracture in an Accident

Sudanese Health Minister Dr. Al-Moez Bakhit has suffered a fractured leg and a dislocated ankle joint in an accident in Bahrain.

Dr. Al-Moez Bakhit stated on his official Facebook page that a large farewell and honoring ceremony was held for him at the Sudanese Club in Bahrain, attended by a large number of members of the Sudanese community in the Kingdom.

Before the ceremony began, while he was parked in a parking lot near the club entrance, he was involved in an unfortunate accident. As soon as he got out of his car, he hit high concrete steps and a pothole that he hadn’t noticed due to the darkness. He stumbled and fell, resulting in a fractured leg and a dislocated ankle joint.

He added, “I am fine, despite the difficulty of moving and standing currently. I visited the hospital, where first aid was provided, the fracture was stabilized, and the joint was reattached. Allah willing, I will travel to London, where I was originally headed, to complete the tests, assess my condition, and continue treatment.”
