Sudan’s Former Intelligence Chief Salah Gosh Breaks Silence, Reveals RSF Plots

Former Sudanese Intelligence Chief, General Salah Gosh, broke his long silence, revealing genuine plans by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia to attack Northern State.

Gosh hosted a private lunch and social gathering at his residence in Cairo, attended by Azhari Al-Mubarak, a leading gold miner in Sudan. The session was moderated by content creator Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, who relayed the details to Al-Sudani newspaper.

During the discussion, Gosh spoke with notable political wisdom, emphasizing that the top priority remains the security and stability of a unified Sudan, with particular focus on Northern State. He warned of the malice and schemes orchestrated by the RSF militia (whom he described as plunderers), whose main aim, he said, is retaliation against the residents of Northern State. Gosh stressed the need for careful and calculated vigilance.

Gosh also highlighted that “every era has its men,” directly addressing his guest: “You are one of the men of this era. Allah has placed the wealth beneath the earth at your disposal, and you have harnessed it to serve Sudan as a whole, as well as your people in Northern State. What you are doing is state-building, and the respect and affection people have for you is more than enough.”

He praised Al-Mubarak’s efforts, noting that his investments in mining and support for communities in the North and Darfur have begun bridging the gap between regions—something successive governments have failed to achieve since independence. Gosh added that perceptions are gradually changing, and animosity is diminishing, Allah willing.

At the same time, Gosh warned of “narrow-minded individuals, troublemakers, and advocates of division,” acknowledging that Al-Mubarak’s visit could be interpreted in multiple ways, but emphasizing that only Allah knows the true intentions.

Gosh concluded: “We are working for Sudan as a whole, and especially for Northern State. All our experience and advice are at your disposal, and now the positions and loyalties are clearly defined.”
