Sudanese Police Command Holds Emergency Meeting in Khartoum

 

The Director General of Police Forces, General (Police) Khalid Hassan Mohieddin, has chaired the second Emergency Command Meeting in Khartoum.

 

 

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director General – Inspector General of Police Forces, Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, members of the Administration and Command Boards, the Director of Khartoum State Police, and the directors of the state’s police directorates.

 

 

 

The meeting heard an update on the implementation status of the police transition matrix for Khartoum State, presented by the Head of the Administrative Affairs Authority, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Shamain, through which he highlighted the smooth completion of the matrix and its implementation according to the timetable set for the general and specialized directorates and bodies.

 

 

 

The Director General of Police Forces received a detailed briefing on the criminal situation in Khartoum State, presented by the Director of the Criminal Directorate of the Khartoum State Police, Maj. Gen. (Police) Abdel-Karim Hamdo, touching the criminal departments that have commenced their work, statistics on the criminal map, and the daily voluntary return of citizens.

 

 

 

The Director General of the Police Forces also stressed the need to intensify police deployment in all localities of the state to maintain security, consolidate stability, and normalize civilian life. He directed all public Directorates to provide support to the Khartoum State Police in addition to their core duties. Follow-up from the Police Press Office indicates that the Police Forces Command has provided all necessary work resources for the forces deployed in Khartoum State and continues to make efforts to improve the work environment, facilitate conditions, and overcome obstacles.
