Sudanese government denies entry of Qatari telecom company into the Sudanese market
The Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority (TPRA) issued a clarification statement today, Saturday, regarding media reports about the entry of a Qatari telecom company into the Sudanese market, becoming the fourth telecom company alongside existing companies (Zain, Sudani, and MTN). The statement assured the public that this news is incorrect and not based on any official information.
The TPRA affirmed its commitment to regulating and developing the telecommunications sector in Sudan in cooperation with all companies operating in this field.
It called on everyone to exercise caution and not to be swayed by rumors that could harm the interests of the telecommunications sector.
The TPRA reiterated its commitment to answering any inquiries or clarifications from the public.
