Sudanese Foreign Minister: We are Ready to Return to Jeddah Forum

Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef said that Sudan will not participate in any meetings outside the Jeddah forum, and that they are not concerned with the “Geneva meetings” or their participants, stressing the need to return to the same path.

The Foreign Minister confirmed to “Asharq” that Sudan is ready to return to the Jeddah forum, if work is done to implement the outcomes of the agreement, noting that he informed the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ramtane Lamamra, of this desire.

Youssef indicated that the UN envoy “knows that the Geneva meetings and those participating in them do not find interest from us,” stressing that the outcomes of Jeddah platform are the path through which the return should be.
