(Sudanese Echoes) Discloses Details of Distributing “Spoiled Lentils” in a Sudanese State

A journalistic investigation by (Sudanese Echoes) revealed exclusive information about the issue of lentils of questionable quality, which were distributed to employees and workers in Sennar State as part of this year’s Ramadan basket, which contained four other Ramadan items.
Some of the workers, contacted by the newspaper from the city of Singa, confirmed that the lentils they received as part of the Ramadan basket were bitter in taste, had a foul odor, discolored, and did not cook properly. They indicated that they returned them to the source from which they received the basket due to their spoilage.
In the same context, (Sudanese Echoes) obtained an explanatory statement issued by the Higher Committee for the Ramadan Basket in Sennar. The committee acknowledged the complaints of workers who received the basket and noticed a strange taste and odor in the lentils.
