Sudanese Army Recaptures Four Strategic Areas in Blue Nile in Swift Offensive

The Sudanese Armed Forces have achieved a significant battlefield advance in the Blue Nile region, regaining full control of the strategic area of Shitawi and its surrounding areas following a swift and successful operation against the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied militias.

According to field sources, army units carried out a coordinated tactical assault targeting RSF positions and military strongholds in Shitawi, forcing the opposing forces to retreat and securing the strategically important area.

Shitawi holds considerable geographic significance as it serves as a defensive depth for Al-Kormuk locality and lies close to the Sudan–Ethiopia border.

In the same operation, the Sudanese Army expanded its military campaign across several rural areas in the region, successfully restoring full control over Yara, Adasi, and Deim Saad.

Military observers say the simultaneous gains mark a significant strategic shift in favor of the Sudanese Armed Forces on the Blue Nile front, strengthening defensive lines around key towns while disrupting the supply routes and military movements of hostile forces along the international border.
