Sudanese Army Prepares for Major Offensive in Kordofan and Darfur

 

The Sudanese Armed Forces are preparing for extensive military operations in Kordofan and Darfur, according to Yassir Al-Atta, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army and a Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC).

 

 

Addressing army forces, Al-Atta said that wide-ranging military preparations are underway in the two regions, noting that government forces possess advanced and specialized equipment as part of a new operational plan.

 

 

He stated that the country would witness significant developments in the coming days, affirming that the Armed Forces are working to restore control over areas experiencing clashes. He added that the next phase would bring what he described as “important transformations,” calling on citizens to prepare for “different days ahead.”
