Sudanese Army Destroys Militia Supply Convoy Coming from Chad

Adiconq — Sudanese Echoes
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), believed to belong to the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), launched a heavy strike on Sunday against Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia positions in West Darfur State near the border with Chad, resulting in deaths and injuries among militia fighters.
Over the past few weeks, the Sudanese army has intensified aerial attacks across Darfur, where the militia controls most of the territory. The army says it is targeting military equipment, including advanced air defence systems and UAVs, as part of plans to cripple the RSF militias’ defensive and offensive capabilities.
An eyewitness from the town of Adiconq told Sudan Tribune that a drone hovered over the town for more than 45 minutes before launching four missiles at various locations. The strike completely destroyed a fuel market controlled by the militia, along with trucks belonging to the same forces that had arrived from neighbouring Chad and were en route to Al-Geneina.
The RSF militia exploits the long Sudan-Chad border to transport weapons, ammunition, fuel, and mercenaries coming from West Africa into Sudan, primarily through the Adré and Adiconq crossings.
