Sudanese Army Crushes Militia Forces That Attacked Blue Nile

The Sudanese Armed Forces successfully repelled a violent attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, backed by the Joseph Teka faction of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), on the areas of Malakin and Al-Silk.

Sources stated that the militias suffered a crushing and severe defeat. The attacking rebel forces were dispersed, and large quantities of their military equipment and vehicles were seized.

The sources revealed that the militia aimed to seize Malakin and attacked the area from multiple axes and fronts, while also manoeuvring part of their forces in Al-Silk. However, their plans ended in failure.

The sources further explained that Ethiopia expedited the transfer of rebel heavy weapons from its territory into Sudanese territory. The defeated forces reportedly retreated into Ethiopian territory.
