Sudan begins activation of “Foreign Number” system for refugees

Head of the Passports and Civil Registry Authority, Lt. Gen. (Police) Osman Mohamed Al-Hassan Denkawi, chaired a meeting to discuss technical and procedural arrangements for activating the “Foreign Number” system, alongside a comprehensive plan to renew refugee ID cards.

The meeting, attended by the Commissioner for Refugees, directorate directors, representatives of CDS company, and other stakeholders, reviewed mechanisms to use the system as a key tool for regulating refugee data.

Officials stressed the importance of coordination to ensure successful system integration, aiming to streamline procedures and improve service efficiency.

The authority reaffirmed its commitment to modernising services while maintaining strict compliance with security and regulatory standards.
