Sudan and Russia to exchange high-level visits

Sudanese Ambassador to Moscow Mohamed Al-Tijani Siraj expected an exchange of high-level visits between Russia and Sudan this year, reiterating his country’s welcome to Russia’s veto thwarting the British resolution in the UN Security Council to interfere in Khartoum’s affairs.

 

He added, in an interview with the “Novosti” agency, “Political consultations and active interaction are important for the bilateral relations between the two countries. Our relations are actively developing in all aspects, and I expect an exchange of high—level visits in 2025.”

 

The Ambassador also expressed gratitude to Russia for for its veto of the British resolution in the UN Security Council, and said that this measure indicates a high level of relations, stating that Khartoum looks forward to developing and strengthening these relations.
