South Sudanese Pilot Killed in UAE Plane Explosion at Nyala Airport
Sources have disclosed new information about the devastating attack carried out by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia at Nyala Airport recently, which resulted in the destruction of a cargo plane transporting military equipment to the militia and attempting to evacuate the wounded out of Sudan.
Reports pointed out that the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-chartered plane was piloted by one of South Sudan’s most prominent pilots, Samson Ohide Lomuro, who was killed in the airport attack.
Samson Ohide serves as the President of the South Sudan Pilots Association and is considered one of the most outstanding pilots in the country. His death has been mourned by hundreds on social media.

Some local media reports from months ago in South Sudan indicated that he met with the South Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs in his capacity as President of the Pilots Association.
