Sisi: Attempts to Partition Sudan or Create Parallel Entities Are a Red Line

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that any attempts to partition Sudan or establish parallel entities constitute a “red line” for Egyptian national security.

He made the remarks during a press conference following talks held at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, who is on an official visit to Egypt.

Earlier, the two presidents held bilateral discussions focused on strengthening relations between Egypt and Finland, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

El-Sisi said the talks also covered developments in Lebanon and Libya. He further outlined Egypt’s efforts to support a ceasefire in Sudan and alleviate humanitarian suffering, in coordination with regional and international partners.

He reaffirmed Egypt’s consistent position on maintaining the unity and territorial integrity of Sudan, rejecting any attempts at division or the creation of parallel governing structures, stressing that such actions represent a direct threat to Egyptian national security.
