Sheikh Al-Amin Discloses the Secret of His Relationship with Hemeidti and UAE

 

Controversial Sheikh Al-Amin Omar Al-Amin has confirmed that he owned a gold mine financed by the France. He also revealed the secret of his relationship with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the truth about his restoration of relations between Sudan and the UAE during the era of President Omar Al-Bashir.

 

 

Sheikh Al-Amin said, in an interview with “Sudanese Echoes”, that he possessed a gold mine in partnership with the France, stating that the company was sold to a Gulf company.

 

 

Sheikh Al-Amin admitted the existence of a relationship between him and the UAE. He added, “I have business with them.” He disclosed that former President Omar Al-Bashir summoned him and demanded that he restore relations with the UAE, stressing that he succeeded in doing so through popular diplomacy.

 

 

Al-Amin denied paving the way for a relationship between the Janjaweed commander and the UAE, explaining that when Hemeidti went to the Emiratis, his relationship with them had ended.

 

 

He unveiled that Hemeidti and his brother Abdel-Rahim visited the Maseed (Mosque) more than once. He added, “I have a Maseed, and Hemeidti would come there for dhikr (Remembrance), take a seat, and leave.”
