Secret Cooperation Between Israel’s Mossad and the Janjaweed Commander
Sources said that Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti) told close associates that Israel’s Mossad had informed him of a plan by an African country that had previously been allied with the militia to arrest him and hand him over to the Sudanese government.
According to the Eyewitness Platform, citing sources, Hemedti said that Israel’s Mossad had intercepted a phone call involving an African country cooperating with the militia and Sudanese military intelligence concerning a plan to arrest him and hand him over to the Sudanese government. He said that “someone” had recently informed him of the information.
Hemedti also spoke of internal betrayals by figures who had been close to the militia’s leadership, saying that some individuals who had publicly demonstrated loyalty were secretly working against it.
He accused a political figure linked to the Native Administration of receiving money from a Gulf state in exchange for cooperating against the militia. He said that the person’s trip to perform Umrah had served as a cover for other activities, before adding angrily: “The one who ate with us from the same plate stabs you in the back.”
