SAF: El-Fashir will Not Be an Easy Prey

The 6th Infantry Division in El-Fashir has affirmed the determination of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and their supporters, the People’s Resistance, to continue to forcefully confront any attempts to attack the city and its residents. It underscored that El-Fashir and its people will not be easy prey for the rebel militias.
The 6th Division explained, in a press briefing, that the Armed Forces, the People’s Resistance, and the mobilized forces were able, during the battles that took place in the Zamzam camp, to destroy more than 40 combat vehicles and disable others, in addition to inflicting heavy losses in lives and equipment. It noted that more than 70 militia elements were seriously injured and were transferred to hospitals in Kutum, Kabkabiya, and El-Daein, while others were transferred to the Kulgi area, while a large number of them fled the city.
The 6th Division also unveiled that a failed infiltration attempt by the militia southwest of the city was thwarted, resulting in the capture of a group of them and the seizure of combat equipment and communications devices in their possession.
The 6th Division reported that the militia shelled El-Fashir with heavy artillery from various directions, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of innocent civilians, the injury of others with varying degrees of severity, and material damage to homes and infrastructure.
