The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) repelled a large-scale assault launched by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the Kazgail axis in the early hours of Saturday, inflicting heavy losses on the attackers.
Field sources reported that the assault was an attempt to boost the militia’s morale, but the army completely destroyed the attacking force.
According to the same sources, the commander of the assault, Hussein Mohamed Dukom, known as “Hussein Shweitin,” Commander of the militia’s Group 36, sustained a fatal injury leaving him between life and death, while other sources confirmed that he died of his wounds.
Meanwhile, the militia member Bakri Salih, a specialist in operating drones, was also killed.
