Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and the Sudanese Armed Forces’ Assistant Commander, confirmed that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) possess sufficient weapons, but will not disclose the nature of their armament. He said, “The army’s arm is capable of reaching any region in Sudan.” In an interview with Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath, Jabir accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of exploiting its financial influence in Darfur to recruit individuals from specific ethnic groups and polarize certain regions of the country.

Meanwhile, Jabir said that the militia’s attempt to attack power stations and civilian facilities with drones is an attempt to raise the crumbling morale of its forces.

Regarding the large number of weapons in the hands of the mobilized persons, Lt. Gen. Jabir unddrscored that the weapons are well-controlled and known, emphasizing their ability to gathered them whenever the war ends. He said, “We are not afraid of this armament.”

In a related context, Jabir noted that the army has opened seven crossings and six airports to international organizations, but that no relief or food aid has entered yet. He accused the militia of spreading a famine narrative, which he considered a lie that would not fool the government. He confirmed the existence of a starvation policy by the militia, similar to what happened in El-Fashir.

TSC Member referred to the government’s attempts to drop food in El-Fashir to save the population, but the militia shot down the aid planes.

He stressed that the government will not prevent any party from going to any area to distribute food, noting that the government has allowed the Adre crossing to open despite its security jeopardy and the flow of weapons through it to date.

With respect to the appointment of a new prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Jabir said that the government is studying and scrutinizing the selection of a highly professional and non-politicized figure to steer the country until the election date.
