RSF Militia Officers Disengage from Service to Private Business

The Revolutionary Awakening Council, led by Musa Hilal, stated that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has lost command and control over its forces on all fronts, calling on native administrations to protect their remaining members from being pushed into a “new holocaust.”

In statements to Sudan Tribune, the council’s political secretary, Salah Khayura, described the recent speech of the militia’s second-in-command, Abdel Rahim Dagalo, as an expression of “defeat and collapse.”

Daglo had called on his deserting officers to come immediately and be present on the front lines within hours.

Khayura said that the majority of the militia’s officers have left the battlefields, adding: “The majority of the officers have devoted themselves to their private businesses and are moving under heavy security protection for fear of being targeted by Abdel Rahim Dagalo.” He pointed out that this has been reflected on the ground, with a loss of control over the soldiers.
