RSF Militia liquidates Al-Nuhud Hospital’s Medical Director and Several Doctors

At least three doctors were killed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias after they took control of the city of Al-Nuhud.

A statement issued by the Preparatory Committee of the Sudanese Doctors Syndicate stated that the deaths of Mohammed Al-Amin, the Medical Director of Al-Nuhud Hospital; Mohammed Al-Nayir, a doctor and Ibrahim Babiker, the head nurse at Al-Nuhud Hospital, were confirmed, along with another doctor who sustained serious injuries.

The statement stated that gross violations against civilians in Al-Nuhud continued for the third consecutive day, noting that the true number of victims, both martyrs and wounded, remains uncertain at this time, given the harsh security conditions surrounding the city and the difficulty of communications.

The Preparatory Committee of the Doctors Syndicate reiterated its warning against the continued targeting of unarmed civilians, stressing that health personnel and medical facilities are not legitimate targets in this war.

It stated that harming them constitutes a war crime, a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, and a malicious attempt to drag the Sudanese people into the quagmire of this systematic war against civilians, according to the statement.

The Doctors’ Committee emphasized that expanding the conflict to new areas and targeting safe cities clearly aims to paralyze civilian life and prevent Sudanese from regaining the most basic elements of normal life.
