RSF Leader Calls for UN Offices in Areas Under His Control

Leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo called on the United Nations to open offices in areas under RSF control to facilitate humanitarian assistance.

The call came during a meeting in Nairobi with the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy to Sudan Pekka Haavisto.

The United Nations has previously rejected moves toward forming a parallel government and warned against the risk of Sudan’s fragmentation; while continuing efforts to end the conflict and address what it describes as the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
