RSF Destroys Bridge Linking Al-Dalang and Kadugli to Block Aid Access
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia has blown up and destroyed the strategic bridge linking the cities of Al-Dalang and Kadugli in South Kordofan State, in what local and human rights sources described as a “war crime” aimed at isolating the region and tightening the siege on civilians.
Field reports indicated that the destruction of the vital bridge was intended to sever the only remaining overland supply route and prevent the passage of humanitarian convoys, relief assistance, and medical supplies destined for thousands of civilians trapped in the state amid worsening humanitarian conditions caused by ongoing fighting.
The bridge is regarded as one of the most critical transport corridors in South Kordofan, serving as a key artery for commercial movement and civilian travel, in addition to functioning as the principal route used by international and local humanitarian organizations to deliver life-saving aid between Al-Dalang, Kadugli, and surrounding villages.
The incident is expected to further aggravate humanitarian conditions in the region, where residents are already facing severe shortages of food, medicine, and essential services due to the continuing conflict.
