Kosti: Ahmed Hamid Al-Tayib

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on Sunday targeted several civilian sites in Kosti, White Nile State, including a fuel station, killing one civilian and injuring 14 others.

Following the attack, the State Security Committee, led by White Nile State Wali Lt. Gen. Gamar Al-Din Mohamed Fadl Al-Mawla, visited the targeted sites and inspected the wounded at Kosti Hospital and the City Clinic.

The Wali strongly condemned the attack, describing the targeting of civilians and vital facilities as a recurring practice by the RSF militia. He said the incident would only strengthen the resolve of the Sudanese people and the Armed Forces.

He also affirmed that the Armed Forces and supporting forces remain prepared to confront the RSF and criticized what he described as external and internal support provided to the militia.

State Minister of Health and Social Development Dr. Al-Zain Saad Adam confirmed an initial toll of one dead and 14 injured. He said emergency teams provided immediate treatment, including wound care, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions, before transferring the injured to City Hospital for further medical care.
