New Details Emerge on Defection of Hemedti’s Adviser (Faris Al-Nour)
Multiple reliable sources have revealed new details regarding the defection of Faris Al-Nour, a member of the Presidential Council of the “Tasis” government and former Governor of Khartoum State within the Nyala-based authority.
The sources indicated that Al-Nour, who also served as an adviser to the commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and as a member of the negotiation committee, has arrived in Saudi Arabia.
They added that Al-Nour had refused to reside in Nyala and had instead been moving between several African capitals, particularly Nairobi, Kenya, where he was engaged in commercial activities related to cargo shipping via South Sudan and the port of Douala in Cameroon.
The sources further revealed that the RSF deputy commander, Abdul Rahim Dagalo, had assigned him to market thousands of tons of peanuts looted by the militia from El Nohod following its takeover last year. The peanuts were transported to Nyala and then shipped to the Cameroonian port of Douala via Chadian territory.
