Nabil Adeeb: What the Rapid Support Forces did on April 15, 2023 was a military rebellion .. and the militia lost leadership

Legal expert and Head of the General Command Sit-in Dispersal Committee, Nabil Adeeb, described what the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) did on April 15, 2023 as a military mutiny and they must be brought to a military trial.

 

 

Nabil said in an interview with (Sudanese Echoes) that the militia lost commandership, stressing that recruiting foreigners to fight alongside the Rapid Support Forces is a crime and a violation of war and its laws, describing them as (mercenaries).

 

 

Regarding whether Sudan can demand that the countries supporting the Rapid Support Forces restore rights and compensate citizens, he stressed the right of the state and citizens in this matter, adding that international courts are the ones that preserve this right.

 

 

In a parallel context, Nabil said that President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) needs to amend the constitutional document to form a government, as in accordance with the document, the government is formed by the Forces of Freedom and Change. He explained that the constitutional authority of a political movement is no longer present to choose the prime minister, so that the constitutional document must be amended.
