Nabil Adeeb Expects Hamdok to Join Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue

Khartoum (Sudanese Echoes) – A member of the Committee for ‎Preparing the Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue, Nabil Adeeb, said they ‎expected former Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdok to ‎participate in the dialogue in his capacity as head of the Sumoud ‎Alliance. ‎
‎“Personally, I expect Hamdok to participate in the dialogue,” Adeeb ‎said.‎

Speaking to Ultra Sudan, Adeeb said the committee had met with a ‎number of political parties and blocs and held discussions with them ‎on the requirements for the dialogue. He noted that the number of ‎groups they had met was substantial, although he did not have precise ‎figures. He added that all the groups they had consulted had agreed to ‎participate in the dialogue.‎

Adeeb explained, however, that the Sumoud Alliance had, on its own ‎initiative and before being contacted by the committee, announced its ‎refusal to participate in the proposed dialogue.‎

He stressed that the committee had not accepted this refusal as final ‎and confirmed that contacts with several leaders of the alliance were ‎continuing.‎
‎“We will continue contacting them with the aim of bringing them into ‎the dialogue,” he said.‎
