Musa Hilal Issues Urgent Appeal to Mahamid Tribe Members Inside and Outside Sudan

The Chairman of the Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council, Sheikh Musa Hilal, has issued an urgent appeal and call to all members of the Mahamid tribe inside and outside Sudan, urging them to distance themselves from any destructive project or political and military path led by the Dagalo family.

In a statement, Musa Hilal affirmed that the Mahamid are not a party to any agenda that threatens Sudan’s unity or social fabric, stressing that any individual positions do not represent the tribe as a whole.
He called on all Mahamid members involved in fighting alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia to reconsider their positions and immediately withdraw from the battlefields in order to preserve lives, prevent bloodshed, and avoid further suffering and destruction.

Hilal reiterated the firm position of the Mahamid in supporting the state and its national institutions and working toward the security and stability of the country, emphasizing that the Mahamid will not be used as fuel for any project against Sudan’s interests.
He warned Mahamid youth against being drawn into promises and slogans that could lead them into conflicts that serve neither their interests nor those of their communities, but rather harm the tribe’s history and social standing. He called on those who had been misled to return to the side of the nation.

Mahamid leader also appealed to all his tribe’s members in neighboring countries who, he said, were deceived by the Dagalo family during the visits of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti) to Niger, Chad, and eastern Libya and were drawn into the war in Sudan, urging them to immediately leave Sudanese territory, return to their countries, and abide by their national laws and regulations.

At the conclusion of his statement, Musa Hilal called on all tribal leaders in Darfur and Kordofan to reconsider their positions in support of the militia, return to the national fold, and reject any mobilization campaigns aimed at fighting the Sudanese Army and the Sudanese people.
