(Minnawi) calls for classifying RSF a terrorist group, says its behavior exceeds (ISIS)

The governor of Darfur region and head of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement (SLAM) has praised the position of the UN Security Council regarding the militia’s attacks on the city of El-Fashir, appreciated its directive to the countries sponsoring the Janjaweed to discontinue supporting it, calling for holding its prominent leaderships accountable.
The commander, Minni Arko Minnawi, called on the Security Council to take more serious steps by declaring this militia a terrorist group, noting that its practices and behavior exceeded that of (ISIS).
Regarding the Security Council resolution issued the day before yesterday, Friday, January 31, the governor of Darfur said on his Facebook page, “We welcome the position of the Security Council and its recent statement regarding the situation in El-Fashir,” adding, “However, we see that the council should implement all its resolutions, top of which the Resolution No. 2736, which recommends ending the siege of the city, in addition to five other resolutions related to Darfur.”
Commander Minnawi added, “First, we commend the UN Security Council’s position on the militia’s attacks on the city of El-Fashir for nearly a year, and we also appreciate its directive to the countries supporting this group to halt supporting it.”
At the same time, Minnawi called on the council to take more serious steps by declaring this militia a terrorist group, saying, “Its actions, practices, behavior, and ethics far exceeded what ISIS was doing.”
The governor of Darfur Region pointed out that another important step is for the prominent leaderships of the countries supporting this militia and its mercenaries, who were involved in and planned to support all terrorist acts, to be held legally accountable.
The SLAM Chairman concluded his post by saying, “El-Fashir and the rest of the other cities in the region have become ghost cities, as their residents live in conditions of semi-slavery.”
